This is a quick review
The free screensaver, The Moon, was created by RateMyScreensaver.com and contains 19 high resolution images of the Moon. The Moon is the second brightest object in the sky after the Sun. As the Moon orbits around the Earth once per month, the angle between the Earth, the Moon and the Sun changes; we see this as the cycle of the Moon's phases. Due to its size and composition, the Moon is sometimes classified as a terrestrial planet along with Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.

Many of us have thought about the moon, our natural satellite circling constantly around our planet. So close, and yet so far for common people. Maybe someday, if you become an astronaut, you will have the opportunity to visit this stellar object and learn about its mysteries and secrets.
This awesome screensaver, however, will let you visit the Moon without leaving the comfort of your living room. You will embark on a journey to space, where you will be able to see our satellite in all its splendor. And I really mean its splendor. The pictures included are really great. They are real images taken during different space missions by NASA, and will show you many different aspects of this magnificent stellar object. You will see the different phases of the moon and some close ups of its surface that will really make you wonder if it is made of cheese or not.
You will see 19 high quality and high-resolution images showing you parts of the moon that you might have never seen before. Craters, “seas” and more will come to your screen so you can really enjoy watching our eternal companion in the tranquility of your home or office.
But don't think there will only be the classic shots of the moon. This screensaver, besides being beautiful, is very educational. You will see charts and graphics showing not only the surface, but also explanations about the Moon's composition, the lunar phases, and a lot of information about the characteristics of our satellite. In some pictures you will see more information like the name of the crater shown, or the famous lunar “seas” where man landed many years ago. The one I liked most is a total eclipse, showing you the typical halo of light around the moon when it moves in front of the sun.
